Thanks to the Marquette Physics Department, who has kindly installed a 95-gallon vivarium right outside of the 153 lecture hall on the first floor of Wehr Physics. This indoor jungle is home to our “Marquette Hybrid” Poison Dart Frog (Dendrobates tinctorius) as well as a few Santa Isabel Dart Frogs (Epipedobates anthonyi). These species are here for all of Marquette University and visitors to marvel at.
Curious staff member looking “through” the vivarium.
We currently have 3 “Marquette Hybrid” and 2 Santa Isabels, living amongst a variety of live plants, moss, and substrate. These little guys are fed calcium-dusted flightless fruit flies about every other day.
Feel free to come check them out and hear them call!
